Easter Sunrise Service

About 28 hardy souls turned out at 6:45 this morning for our Easter Sunrise Service. And after a night of light snow, and overcast conditions, the temperature was a balmy -2C.

Course that meant that we couldn't see the sun, but hey, it was nice out.

And here is the photographic record of the day.

The Sunrise.

Some of the Faithful.

The hot drinks afterwards at Lanoies.

UPDATE: Here's a few more photos, compliments of Phil.

  1. I'm sorry I missed it. I had planned on going and was looking forward to it. But we had a rough night with the kids. If one was asleep, the other was awake...

    Maybe next year.

  3. -2'C : positively balmy (for Canada LOL).

It was chilly here compared with the last few days - around 8 to 10'C. Yesterday I was happy walking round in a Tee shirt :D

Managed to find the energy for giving the lawn it's first shave of the year. Later this afternoon in church I was the sole musician (all the keyboard players had bunked off). Managed to hold it together, but barely a few times. Half way through a faster song I found I was actually sweating, although that's probably me, rather than the room being too hot.

BTW Ben (my son) has commented for the first time on a blog just now. He's interested in the musical tastes of the person running Gummie worm pizza ;)
