Pastors...

And the Lord's servant must not be quarrelsome but kind to everyone, able to teach, patiently enduring evil, correcting his opponents with gentleness.

2 Timothy 2:24 & 25

  1. This passage and other like it have really impacted me in the last few years.

    I also like James 3

Who is wise and understanding among you? By his good conduct he should show his works done in the gentleness that wisdom brings. But if you have bitter jealousy and selfishness in your hearts, do not boast and tell lies against the truth. Such wisdom does not come from above but is earthly, natural, demonic. For where there is jealousy and selfishness, there is disorder and every evil practice. But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, accommodating, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial, and not hypocritical.

  2. "the gentleness that wisdom brings."

I love that. Youthful zeal seems little interested in gentleness, but oh the beauty of aging well. There is much fruit to be enjoyed LT as we move into this season of life, and I have been a witness of that in you.

Keep on in the same direction. :)
