Sing baby sing!

Well,

After a hard night of putting Micah's room back together, I sat down at the computer to sing some songs. Yes, sing some great tunes, and my family didn't appreciate it.

They laughed, and Thomas tried to record me singing the hits. And the greatest hurt of all, they turned the TV louder.

Oh the humanity, oh the indignation.

Check it out, online Karaoke.

Thanks Becky. (Thanks alot)

  1. Hey, that was fun!!! It kinda reminded me of when we lived in Ontario, and we had that small keyboard that dad used to play in the basement (although I dont remember him playing sheryl crowe, or Alanis morisette.)...more funeral songs he played.

FWIW I learned that I couldn't sing as a 17 YO on stage at a 'coffee bar' we'd arranged as a church you group. Minor claim to fame here - we were working with Steve Chalke (and Keith Loring - what happened to him?) in his WYWAM days. He grew up in the same church I did, Holmesdale baptist, and at one time I really wanted to go out with his sister. LOL @ that thought now.

What's really odd is that a few years back one of the guys in the church got a little prophetic. He said I should be singing as well as playing guitar. At the time I was as bad as ever, but I'd been saying to Gog before that "if you want me to lead worship then I need to sing". Well, I started leading worship more regularly a year or so ago, and strangely enough, now and again I do actually manage to sing a bit in tune. Can even start songs sometimes, although we have a slightly maverick buch of people that have their own ideas about when songs should start, in mild disregard of musical theory ;-)
