I think it's fair to say I have adapted to this Alberta prairie life

...because today I found a pair of jeans that fit me, at the CO-OP.

For those of you familiar with Canadian prairie life, you will understand what a statement that is.

And Lauralea tried to get me a western shirt as well, but a guy's got to draw a line somewhere.

One day at a time...

  1. You'll know when you've arrived if you start wearing a lariat when you dress up. And snakeskin boots (or maybe that's just Texas).

  2. What's wrong with western shirts? I think you'd look good in one of the dressy ones with pearl snaps. And a string tie.

  3. Toni: I feel I could safely air my prejudice and say that I think Alberta is essentially the Texas of Canada. They're both like that loud, conservative, rich neighbour you try to keep on your good side because if you didn't, they'd probably take you out back.

You could have made the 'cowboy' purchase and used it for an object lesson from the pulpit or something....I guess that could be expensive...oh well.

  6. Johanna - that made me laugh.

Do all the trucks have gun racks behind the cab too (and about half actually with guns)? I remember my first morning in Webster standing by the roadside of the road that runs past the space centre. About every other truck did actually have guns in the rack too.
