Pope John Paul II

We wouldn't have agreed on all our theology, but I have no doubt that God has received him with a "Well done."

  1. Indeed.

He may have been the catalyst that initiated dissolution of the iron curtain.

And that's just one of the bits we know about.

Wonder if they'll dare appoint someone as potentially useable as him again?

  2. His persistent voice against the "culture of death" and promotion of the value and dignity of every human life, whether born or unborn managed to upset both 'Left' and 'Right' -- truly admirable. His book "Crossing the Threshold of Hope" has left a lasting imprint on my mind. Well worth the read.
