Morning Coffee

Mornings always find Micah grumpy till his first cup of Tim Horton's coffee.

(Am I doing a good job parenting this kid or what!?!)

  1. So... tell me again about this thing that you Canadians have with Tim Horton. I went to his restaurant for breakfast (along with the rest of Calgary) and I'm still trying to figure out why everyone was there. Maybe it's patriotic to support the Canadian enterprise or maybe people are just so desperate to participate in Canadian hockey mythology...

    P.S. Cute kid.

  2. I am a bit concerned....something about this photo reminds me of a mugshot....I hope this is not a foreshadow of things to come.

  3. Look at the dark circles under the poor boy's eyes - a sure sign of coffee deprivation. A kid who drinks coffee has got to be a good kid!!

Brad - we need our coffee. It's cold up here!! A place not big enough for a Starbucks or whatever cute little coffee bar - but we have a Tim's and we are content.

  4. If you don't have starbucks then I'd say you were lucky :-/

"Excuse me, do you have anything that tastes of coffee, not just bitterness?"

"No, sorry, that's all we do. Bitter coffee is our line."*

Actually the most amazing coffee I ever drank was from a 'Chick-fil-A' (think that's how it's spelt) near Washington. It was like one of those TV wine tastings - you can taste petrol, cats pee, a little flint, chickory and diesel fuel, rounded out with a hint of aspartame. I'd swear no coffee bean went any nearer the brew than being told "this is what we're going to pass up as yours".

    *Imagined conversation with starbucks employee.
