Notes from Winnipeg

See Harmony drive in Winnipeg.

Watch Harmony try to turn left on a no turn left sign.

Listen as Harmony says a bad word.

I forgot how bad Winnipeg traffic is, compared to P.A.

(I changed the name to protect the Guilty!!)

  1. OK so everyone in church this morning was asking who Harmony was, really. Lauralea was getting nervous.

  2. I can put 2+2 together and make 5 if you want ;-)

Traffic, bad and Winnipeg? In the same sentence? I challenge larmony to drive round Paris some time, especially the Arc de Triomphe. I have a colleague from Houston that stayed just by the AdT and couldn't believe how people could actually get round without hitting anyone or being hit :-)

Actually Paris is somewhere I think everyone should spend a weekend in. Fantastic for romantic little places, wonderful eateries, and to gain an appreciation of of good it is to drive somewhere else. I'd guess that fully 30% of the cars have significant bodywork damage. The French character is manifest in it's full glory in the manner in which people drive. But it all works, and that's what's necessary.

Just don't drive there if you have a nervous disposition.

  3. OK, Toni - I get 12 hours in Paris on June 19. What would you suggest after spending all night in a plane?

  4. For you, my dear, as much sleep as you can manage, followed by a croissant and a good cafe au lait :-)
