Just when you think party season is over...

It's party central again here at the Friesen's neighbours residence. They've been going hard at it again, all. day. long.

Last night they were partying and someone must have called the cops because around 11 PM the police showed up with a couple cars.

Today a neighbour talked to me, he was concerned for our safety, which was kind of comforting.

Tonight I just threw open the laptop mic and recorded life inside my writing space. The window was only open 4 inches, but you get the idea.

This is what it's like here, at our house.

"Liquor is for the dying, and wine for those in deep depression. Let them drink to forget their poverty and remember their troubles no more."  Proverbs 31

Truer than we think.

  1. I was thinking, just tonight- you should record this for posterity... and there you go!

Well, there THEY go. I think I have a pair of ear plugs we can share! (one each for the ear that's not on the pillow!) Just 'cause I love you.

    : )

  2. How many hundreds are there?

The guy with that laugh needs to be silenced. The woman too.

  3. ... At least there's no loud booming music??? I know... It doesn't make it better. Or maybe it would... Maybe it would drown out that laughing guy. Brutal.

  4. It must have been the night for our neighborhood to eat, drink and be merry. Next door to us there was a "house-raising"....they all worked hard, drank hard and partied even harder. If it were not for the miracle they produced - a house walled, sheeted, roofed, shingled and sided - in two days - I perhaps would not have been quite as forgiving a neighbor. There is something beautiful about seeing a family and extended family enjoying one anothers company. It was good to see. But their partying wasn't done 10 feet from our bedroom window - like yours appeared to be.
