It was my dad's birthday today.

I think he would have been 66 today.

But life is full of twists and turns and surprises.





Interesting that in most of the pictures I have of dad, mom is right beside him.

But, that's how he was.

That's how they were.

And that's how it is.

    Isn't that how it's supposed to be though, Randall? Their togetherness that is? I think that that is beautiful.

    Even in death, as they were in life (after their working days were done), my granny kept my grandpa with her every where she went bykeeping a photo of him in her purse. She wasn't obsessed about it in a "I can't let go" way but in a " I just want to keep a reminder of my husband of the love of my life" way.
