today it was deer

Tonight as I left my office, the sky was low and moving towards dusk. There was a Southern Ontario drizzle falling down but too light to care about.

As I began my commute home my eye caught some movement on my right so I turned and saw a mule deer staring at me. He was 25 feet away on the lawn right at the edge of the trees. He watched me and then turned his attention to his walk, continuing along the tree line beside the cemetery.

Life in a field.

  1. It's breeding season - those animals are stupid this time of year. Keep an eye out!

  2. ...and when you mention your commute, i'm still picturing you getting into your van, driving down the road...oh wait. he's walking across the field. Silly me.

  3. Hey I like the new design -- the stuff at the side so I don't have to scroll down to the bottom of the page.

Except it's no fair that you can change your template bi-weekly when I have to wait for Marc to help me meet my particular design demands. Not sure what the hold up is Marc or my anal-retentiveness.

  4. Dixie: your anal-retentiveness.

I'm moderating all the comments these days.
