A Good Surprise This Time.

Back in late 1999 when the world was getting ready to collapse into utter chaos and the end of the world as we knew it, I and a friend were trying to learn how to make our own Champagne. (Although we could not name it that because it was made in Saskatchewan and not France).

We did pretty well if I do say so myself, and we saw 2000 arrive with our own homemade fine vintage bubbly. It was grand.

Well last week I found an unopened box in our pantry and opened it up and what to my wandering eyes would appear, but one single leftover bottle of the bubbly. Fifteen years old.

Now I am curious, as is my friend who I texted right away, how it's held up. I don't have high expectations about it, but its one of those things that could surprise you too.

At least there is a New Years Celebration right around the corner!

And we will party like it's 1999...

  1. I hope you're in for a pleasant surprise - at least it has a plastic cork.
