not done yet

One of our 92 year olds passed away late yesterday.

Connie has been a part of things at Gateway for all these years I've been there, and so I shall serve her and the church one more time.

But I'll start that tomorrow. Today we are off to Saskatoon for Thanksgiving, to spend time with our family.

Have a good one, and if you have a holiday today, do something fun eh?

  1. This willingness on your part to serve our family one last time Randall, is of course one of the reasons we all shall miss you.

    Thank you...again....

  2. Seems like you have a lot to be thankful for - and maybe others around you do too at this turning point in ministry ?

So, Happy Thanksgiving - although I have to confess that I don't know what the Canadian version of this celebrates - are you rejoicing in freedom from the UK like your southern counterparts do ?!

  3. Just for info's sake, it appears our first Thanksgiving feast in Canada was sponsored by explorer Martin Frobisher in 1578 in what is now the area known as Labrador/Newfoundland. He was very thankful to have survived a long dangerous journey. Since then we have based the celebrations around general thanksgiving, or harvest. (In our Anglican church in rural prairie Canada the harvest theme is huge.)
