That’s the first morning then.

Our first official Sunday as Pastor to the people who meet at Malmo Mission Covenant Church.

And it was a blessed day.

I got a group picture of us, so you have a sense of things.

And then I talked for 15 minutes, about my prayer for them. You can hear it here.

Or if that bores you, and it's ok if it does, here are a couple of songs that were played during communion. All Who Are Thirsty and Great Is Thy Faithfulness.

Then we had a huge potluck. Lots of food.

:)

And now, I think I'm done. I am tired.

Last night for about 90 minutes in the middle of the night, I had an unbelievable pain in my lower back I had to wait out. Pain I don't normally have. But it went, eventually as quickly as it came.

So that's it from the field. I'm heading home.

  1. So today as the worship team finished the second song or so, I wondered how the first Sunday was going, and there you were taking video of you new folks. I truly don't know how people would respond if I tried that. Glad that it was a good day. I will listen to the 15 minutes when the kids go to bed.

  2. I regret that I've never heard you preach in person, but this is the next best thing. Your sermon was short, sweet, and very meaningful.

Glad your pain disappeared and that today was God-breathed.

And thanks for sharing this journey with all of us. We miss you, but it is abundantly clear you are exactly where you're supposed to be.

  3. Thanks for the sermon, Randall. It was what I needed! I'm glad you said that "love is not a feeling, it is a committment!"

It sounds like you are getting well settled in. We miss you, but we know that God is in this move and we are glad that He has gone before you and is guiding you each step of the way!

    Our prayers are with you!

  4. Love of God and Love of neighbor. That was an amazing Sunday call to the community. I am so glad that we got to hear your first message. It is a call we all need to listen for to follow the God who calls us to relationship. Thank you for sharing your day with us.
