Riders beat Montreal in double overtime. 54 - 51

What an amazing game it was.

The Riders look like a solid team now, with lots of heart.

Hopefully a fun year.
And who knows, the Grey Cup is being played right down the road this year, in Edmonton.

  1. They were looking pretty shaky in the 1st half, but came roaring back in the 3rd quarter. I think they're for real.

Some of the guys from church were watching yesterday's game, and someone seriously suggested that since most of the Riders home games are either sold out or don't have blocks of seats together, we should consider a road trip to Edmonton to watch a Riders away game. The Esks host the Riders on August 28 and October 23 (Saturday games). Would you be in?

  2. Yeah, I'm still a little nervous about their defence. Lot's of good players gone to the NFL and maybe too many newbies. Montreal is an older team and I suspect they were getting tired after a while of being out there.

And a road trip to the city would be a blast. Micah and i went to the Sask. Esks game last September, and they had to open more seats for the sales. i think that one turned into the largest attended CFL game ever.

All that to say, it's like a crazy rider house when they come to town.
So I'm interested. Just better get the tickets early, they go fast.

  5. That's what Lauralea said, "Don't forget Steve!"
